In January-April 2007, Commercial Seaport of Mariupol (Ukraine) handled 5.431 million tons of cargo (+21.9%, year-on-year), the port’s press center reports according to RBC-Ukraine. The port specializes mainly in transshipment of metal, machine-building product, clay and fertilizers. In 2006, the port handled 1.58 million tons (+7.1%, year-on-year), its net profit grew by 23.8% to 86 million hryvnias.
