The terminal for transshipment of sulfur is to handle 6 million tons of product per year. Design capacity of Yug-2 terminal is 5.3 million tons per year. The terminal for transshipment of general cargo will have the capacity of 3 million tons per year.
Ust-Luga general cargo terminal to open on July 8
Ust-Luga multipurpose terminal for transshipment of general cargo is appointed for July 8, Valeri Izrailit, BOD Chairman of Company Ust-Luga OJSC told journalists today, RBC reports. Besides, first phase of Yug-2 terminal is to be opened in August. According to Izrailit its construction is financed by Company Ust-Luga and Investment Fund of RF. By the end of the year it is planned to open the first phase of the terminal for transshipment of technical sulfur. For the moment being Ust-Luga OJSC invested RUR 2.5 billion into infrastructure development. By the end of the year it is planned to invest RUR 15 billion.
