Cargo turnover of St. Petersburg transport companies down 3.7% in Q1 07, y-o-y

In January-March 2007, cargo turnover of St. Petersburg transport companies (excluding railways) totaled 16.3 bln tkm, Petrostat reports according to PRIME-TASS. Volume of transportation decreased by 4.5% to 25.8 million tons.  Transportation by pipelines fell by 6.3%, motor transport – by 3.6%. Transportation by service surged by 19.8%, air – by 11%, inland waterways – by 7.2%.
