Gibraltar’s newest bunker firm has made its first deliveries

Ron Glover, Managing Director of Bunkers Gibraltar Ltd, told Bunkerworld on Tuesday that six deliveries had been made since operations started on Sunday.
"The operations went as sweet as a nut," said Glover, who added that he was still not sure how many people in the market knew his company was there.
The six stems were all for 380 centistoke (cst) product.  They varied in size from 700 metric tonnes (mt) to 2,000 mt.
Bunkers Gibraltar has its own mothership, the double-hull 79,000 deadweight tonne (dwt) Europa Venture. Deliveries are made from the 6,400 deadweight tonne (dwt) double-hull barge Europa Supplier 1. Bunkers Gibraltar has plans to offer 500 cst material.
Marine fuel sales in the three bunkering ports on the Strait of Gibraltar; Algeciras, Ceuta and Gibraltar, totalled some 7 million mt last year.
Ramon Pascual, managing director of CEPSA Marine Fuels, a major supplier in the region, has predicted that figure could grow to 10 million mt by 2015. Pascual made the prediction at the Bunkerworld international forum in Athens earlier this month.
