SSN shipyard (Poland) to increase import from China

The SSN shipyard in Szczecin will take delivery of 10.000 tonnes of ship sections from China. The sections will be welded into a container vessel in the B178 series. The Szczecin shipyard will increase the import of sections from China in the future since both steal and labour are cheaper in China. An increasingly important factor is the fact that SSN, as well as other Polish shipyards, are lacking experienced welders since they have emigrated to work on other European shipyards, mostly in Norway, Denmark and Holland.
