GazpromNeft, formerly Sibneft [RTS:SIBN], a subsidiary of Gazprom [RTS: GAZP], said Wednesday its recoverable hydrocarbon reserves rose by 38.9 million metric tons of standard fuel, RIA Novosti reports.The company’s recoverable reserves rose 26.1 million tons in 2005. GazpromNeft discovered 15 new hydrocarbon deposits in 2006, including 10 oil, one oil-and-gas, one gas and three gas condensate fields. An assessment of GazpromNeft reserves conducted by independent auditor Miller & Lents showed that the company's proven reserves rose 5.3% in 2006, year-on-year (621.4 million tons) according to SPE standards, and 11.4% (514.0 million tons) according to the SEC standard, it said in a press release.
