In-Transit to place storage tanker in the port of St. Petersburg for off-harbor export transshipment of oil products

By June 10, stevedoring company In-Transit is to place the second storage tanker in the port of St. Petersburg for off-harbor export of oil products in summer navigation of 2007, PortNews IAA learnt from the company. The Kaluga tanker chartered for that purpose is owned by Sovcomflot OJSC. In summer navigation 2006 the same vessel was used a storage tanker at the anchorage of the port of St. Petersburg. The tanker will come to the port of St. Petersburg early in June. Having placed the second tanker In-Trnsit plans to transship up to 1.5 million tons of oil products in navigation 2007 (mainly heavy fuel oil of Rosneft OC). As PortNews IAA told earlier, on May 5, stevedoring company In-Tranzit placed the SCF Altai storage tanker (built in 2001) at the outer anchorage 5А (Kronshtadt) for export transshipment of heavy fuel oil in summer navigation of 2007. The loading of the off-harbor transshipment complex is ensured by river tankers with capacity of up to 5,000 tons coming by Volga-Baltic waterways (owned by shipping company Vision Fleet and other companies of Tanker Union). Export batch of up to 100,000 tons is pumped to sea tankers. The first sea tanker loaded with 47,000 tons of oil products dispatched on May 23, the second vessel loaded with 80,000-90,000 tons of oil products will leave the off-harbor transshipment complex late in May. In June, throughput of In-Transit will make 120,000-150,000 tons of oil products.  

In navigation of 2006 (from May till October inclusively), stevedoring company In-Tranzit transshipped 1.8 million tons of product at the off-harbor transshipment complex of the port of St. Petersburg. The company used two storage tankers.
