Global shipping, logistics, and marine services provider GAC Group has joined e-learning companies SkillSoft and Catalyst to create the online GAC Corporate Academy (GCA), a global training school deploying the Modular Object-Orientated Dynamic Learning Environment (Moodle) system.
A company statement said the idea was first developed in early 2006 as part of the company's ongoing globalisation strategy. Following an in-depth analysis of GAC's human resource development requirements and extensive research of the best e-learning options available, SkillSoft and Catalyst were chosen as the ideal partners.
SkillSoft is one of the largest and most professional e-learning content providers in the world and their course materials are used extensively by companies, which have benefited from e-learning, the statement explained.
