Russkaya Troyka CJSC to start construction of container terminal in Vladivostok in 2007

In 2007 Russkaya Troyka CJSC, joint company of RZD OJSC and Far East Shipping Company, will start construction of a container terminal in the port of Vladivostok, the Department of corporate communications of RZD OJSC reports according to RZD-Partner. By 2014 the terminal is to handle about 250,000 TEU per year.  The construction is to start in the third quarter of 2007 and the terminal is to be put into operation in 2010 with handling up to 120,000 TEU per year. In 2011, the second phase of the terminal will be put into operation. Specialized container terminal in the port of Vladivostok will be a separate channel for transportation of details for Hyundai, KIA Motors Corporation and LG.  Total volume of investments into the terminal construction is to exceed RU 2 billion by 2011. The sources of investment are funds attracted from additional emission of the company (shareholders’ funds), borrowed funds.
Container terminal of Russkaya Troyka CJSC in the port of Vladivostok is to be built at the crossing of sea routes and railway lines. It will be the first specialized transport channel servicing transit flows of containers.
