Cargotec said it has agreed to buy Balti ES, an Estonia-based manufacturer of steel structures and components, from AP Moller Maersk's Odense Steel Shipyard Ltd unit for an undisclosed sum. Balti ES generated sales of 14 mln eur last year and has a workforce of about 600.
Cargotec said the purchase would boost the supply of components used by its Hiab and Kalmar businesses and improve cost competitiveness.
