Two cargo vessels collide in the Gulf of Finland

Two cargo vessels have collided in the Gulf of Finland, Leonid Belov, head of Marine Rescue Center reports according to RIA Novosti. Russian motor vessel Nevski-34 and refrigerator Beauty Song (flying the Panamanian flag) going from Faroe Islands with 3,000 tons of frozen fish onboard collided at about 12.00, Moscow time, under conditions of limited visibility three miles to the west from the acceptance buoy of St. Petersburg. Both vessels were damaged above water line. No spill of bunker fuel happened, there were no injuries, Belov says. According to him, both vessels go to the port of St. Petersburg under their own power.
