HK July box volume up 2.3, Singapore surges 14.8pc, Shanghai soars 23pc

The world's top three container ports increased throughout with third-place Hong Kong's Marine Department reporting a container volume increase of 2.4 per cent in July year on year to 2.1 million TEU, as well as an increase of 2.3 per cent from January to July to 13.7 million TEU.
Shanghai came in second with 2.2 million TEU in July, a rise of 2 per cent, but soared 23 per cent in the first seven months of the year to 14.79 million.
This stood against Singapore's PSA, which posted a first half throughput increase of 14.8 per cent to 15.9 million TEU in the same period.
