Transgarant plans launching of 8-10 container trains from Far Eastern seaports

Transgarant LLC plans to arrange 8-10 quick container trains for transportation of cargo from the Far Eastern seaports by the end of the year, the company reports according to AK&M.

Transgarant provides services on railway transportation of industrial cargoes. Transgarant and its subsidiaries operate over 13,400 units of rolling stock, 71% of which is the company’s own wagons. The company’s cargo turnover is 24.8 billion tones per kilometer. Annual loading exceeds 16 million tonnes. Transgarant’s IFRS revenue totaled 3.7 billion rubles in 2005.

Besides Transgarant, the structure of Fesco transport group includes Far Eastern Shipping Company; Russkaya Troika CJSC (JV with Russian Railways OJSC, specializing in railway transportation of containers); National Container Company (leader at Russian market of container terminals); partnership project with First Quantum; Vladmortorgport OJSC; TIS; Inkotek; DalRefTrans. The group’s companies provide marine shipping, rail transportation and trucking services, stevedoring services at the company’s terminals in Russian ports, icebreaker assistance to vessels in the Far East of Russia, Eastern sector of Arctic, Baltic Oceanographers and Antarctic, and services biggest oil and gas companies in the Far East.
