The new facility is expected to serve electronic companies based at the Ningbo FTZ, and become a logistics and distribution centre for liquid crystal and opto-electrical products in the Yangtze River Delta, Xinhua said.
Though the project is still at the planning stage, it has already attracted interest from a number of logistics companies both at home and abroad.
The bonded logistics park located within the Ningbo FTZ recently added a 12,000 square metre bonded logistics warehouse, raising the amount of bonded logistics warehouse space to 30,000 square metres.
Currently, the Ningbo FTZ is 300,000 square metres in size, accommodating more than 30 logistics companies, and handled US$1.94 billion worth of cargo in the first half of this year, the report added.
