By the middle of 2009, a terminal for transshipment of chemical cargo will be built in the ports of Sillame (Estonia), RZD-Partner learnt from Nina Lansoo, expert of AS Baltic Chemical Terminal (BCT). According to the source, two 20,000-tonne reservoirs for storage of liquid fertilizers are currently under construction. Then it is planned to build two 30,000-tonne ammonia reservoirs. The terminal’s first phase will start operation this fall. The investments planned for the project total tens of million of euros. According to BNS agency, 85% of AS BCT shares are owned by JSC Acron and 12.5% - by Vladimir Volokhonski.
