FESCO Transport Group starts to change container fleet on FDCL line (Vladivostok - Vostochniy - Hong Kong - Shanhai - Ningbo - Vostochniy), vladivostoktimes.com reports. In the result of the change the containers tonnage of the ships working on this direction will greatly increase.
As FESCO press service reported to RIA PrimaMedia, FESCO continues to strengthen its position in the market of container transportation between APR countries and Russia. The next step in this direction was increase of container tonnage of the ships working on China line as the most dynamic developing direction. The great part of growing cargo flow will be processed in the frameworks of intermodal transportation of FESCO Transport Group.
FCDL (FESCO China Direct Line) is the first regional FESCO line on which ships with higher container tonnage of B-170 type work.
Since August 22 of this year more capacious and speed ship "Kapitan Afanasyev" (built in 1998 in Poland, total tonnage is 1750 DFE containers, speed is 18,5 knots) will work on FCDL line instead of container ship "FESCO Voyager" (built in 1998 in Japan, total tonnage is 160 DFE containers, speed is 17 knots).
It's planned to hold the next stage of increase of fleet capacity on September 12: container ship "Vladivostok" (built in 1998 in Poland, total tonnage is 1750 DFE containers, speed is 18,5 knots) will work instead of container ship "FESCO Trader" (built in 1998 in Japan, total tonnage is 1060 DFE container, speed is 17 knots).
Use of more speedy and capacious ships on the direction Vostochniy - Vladivostok - Hong Kong - Shanhai - Ningbo - Vostochniy will allow to offer weekly service from South China ports to clients and to provide the fastest goods delivery.
