The Russian Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) has authorized its inspectors in Siberia and the Far East to tighten control over companies involved in the construction of the first pumping facility of the Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline, which is to be put in operation in 2008 according to the government's decision, Rostekhnadzor's press office reported according to RBC.
According to the service, Rostekhnadzor will monitor the organizations in order to prevent deadlines from being missed and arrange quarterly reports about possible disruptions of work on the pipeline.
