AADA to levy increase on shipments to Australia

Member lines of AADA (Asia Australia Discussion Agreement) will levy an increase of US$350 per TEU and $700 per FEU for both dry and refrigerated cargo, starting September 15 to its customers in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, with shipments to ports and points in Australia.
This increase will apply in full on top of existing ongoing market rates and will be subject to accessorial surcharges applicable at the time of shipment, the 13-line group said.
AADA members are: ANL, CSCL, Cosco, Hamburg Sud, Hanjin, HMM, "K" Line, Maersk Line, MSC, MOL, NYK, OOCL and Gold Star.
