Transneft is planning to design an extension to its ESPO (Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean) route, according to a statement made by the company's head Semyon Vainshtok at a meeting with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin Tuesday, RBC reports.
Transneft has completed an ESPO span of 1,130 km, with work underway along the entire route in the Republic of Yakutia, and the Amur and Irkutsk regions, said Vainshtok. He noted that the Baltic Pipeline System-2 project had already been developed and after the completion of the project appraisal, decisions would be made for new routes.
