Federal agency of sea and river transport will include the project of "Southern Coastal Terminal" in purpose national program "Development of Russian transportation system for the period from 2010 to 2015," which is being developed by the Department of Transportation.
According to "Kommersant (Merchant)" the complex, which is supposed to be built at a distance of 48 km from Vladivostok (village Novyi), will act as transport and logistic center; and it will take upon itself freight traffic directed to Vladivostok Sea Trade Port.
According to estimates, the project "SCT" is estimated at more than 20 billion rubles. Projected capacity of the complex amounts to 13 million tons, including 1,5 million containers in foot equivalent.
