Qingdao builds customs house to facilitate Olympic cargo delivery

A customs clearance facility exclusively for express cargo to facilitate delivery of Olympic equipment and materials is up and running in Qingdao.
Xinhua reported the new building which is located inside the Qingdao Liuting Airport is the largest and most technologically advanced customs house in Shandong.
Shippers and forwarders used to go through procedures downtown before cargo could be taken to the airport for final clearance. The new facility eliminates the stop over, thus saving more than a million yuan a year and reducing time by about two hours.
