In 2007, throughput of Ventspills Nafta Terminals grew by 133%, year-on-year, to 13.3 million tonnes of crude oil and oil products delivered to the terminal by railway, sea and pipelines, the company’s press center reports. In the reported period, transshipment of diesel fuel grew by 7.4 million tonnes, year-on-year, to 9.5 million tonnes, transshipment of gasoline totaled 1.7 million tonnes. Transshipment of sea cargo amounted to 1.8 million tonnes (+0.6 year-on-year) including 1 million tonnes of oil.
In December 2007, the company handled 1.1 million tonnes of oil and oil products.
Ventspills Nafta Terminals is the largest company of its profile in the region. Total capacity of its tank farm for crude and products is 1.2 million m3.
