China's Hefei port to build US$203 million terminal

Anhui Province will invest US$203 million in the construction of several water transportation projects in 2008, including Hefei Port's comprehensive terminal.
The project will be located at the Yinghe Port Area, which will become a comprehensive port area focusing on container imports and exports and develops modern logistics. The first phase will occupy 27.73 hectare and will involve total investment of $40.7 million. One 1,000 tonne bulk goods berth, three 1,000 tonne container berths and the ancillary facilities will be established as part of the first phase, with the bank length at 700 m and the de
designed annual bulk goods and container throughput at 400,000 tonnes and 100,000TEUs respectively.
