Ports of Primorski Territory up throughput by almost 6% in 2007

In 2007, the ports of Primorski Territory increased throughput by almost 6%, year-on-year, territorial transport department  reports according to RZD-Partner. Import of the South-Eastern Asia grew by 46%, export grew by 2.6%, year-on-year. Export of coal grew by 6%, year-on-year, to 1 million tonnes. Container handling was up 27.7%. Transshipment of crude and oil products grew by 25.8%. Coal handling is to grow owing to modernization of coal complex in Vostochny port planned for this year. The port of Vladivostok is to expand container handling capacity.
