Jiaxing throughput reaches 24 million tonnes in 2007

Port of Jiaxing, in eastern Zhejiang province, handled 24.2 million tonnes in 2007, up 7.5 per cent year on year. Of this total, 2.85 million tonnes were foreign trade cargo. Containers lifted cumulated to 37,100 TEU.
Port of Jiaxing has 24 berths with an annual capacity of 20.4 million tonnes. Over 16 berths have a capacity of more than 10,000 tonnes.
