Foreign investors to be allowed to participate in construction of Russian seaport infrastructure - Levitin

Foreign investors are to be allowed to participate in construction of Russian seaport infrastructure, RF Transport Minister Igor Levitin told in State Duma Wednesday according to Gudok.Ru referring to Interfax. Levitin says foreign investors may be attracted in the part the facilities are owned by foreigners. The state is to finance the facilities which are to be the state property. Thus, the construction is to base on the principle of Private Public Partnership, the Minister underlined.

At the same time, the head of state corporation on construction of Olympics facilities Semen Vainshtok noted there should be no problems with participation of foreign investors in construction of Olympics facilities. "We do not see any problems and there is no need to adjust the legislation," he said. According to him, the only difficulty may be caused by disputes by Russian and foreign technical regulations for project documentation expertise.
