Budget allocations for emergency alert and OSR plans to total RUR 173.7 million in 2008

In 2008, the volume of budget allocations for emergency alert and OSR plans (Oil Spill Response Plans) is to total RUR 173.7 million. As PortNews IAA learnt from the Ministry of Transport, 57 specialized vessels are to be involved into the emergency alert this year. Besides, the plan for 2008 also envisages support of technical preparedness of rescue facilities at basins, repair works, purchase of equipment, fuel, arrangement of shipboard personnel operation. RUR 219.8 million is to be allocated for improvement of the rescue services’ material status. Within the framework of this task it is planned to develop technical projects on construction of rescue vessels. In 2008, it is planned to complete the development of technical projects for 5 types of rescue vessels.
