ICTSI plans to build new container terminal in Colombia
Port Strategy reports that consultant Moffatt & Nichol is in the final stages of completing detailed design, construction drawings, technical specifications and bid documents for Phase I of a new container terminal on the Aguadulce Peninsula in Colombia for ICTSI.
Said Port Strategy: "Phase I includes extensive land reclamation, dredging of the berths and turning basin to the existing access channel, and 600m of new wharf."
The report said the facility will have an opening throughput capacity of 450,000 teu with a planned final capacity of 1.2m teu, 900m of quay with three berths and nine post-panamax quay cranes.
