Asia-West Africa Trade Agreement to raise rates from April 15
Member container shipping lines of the Asia-West Africa Trade Agreement (AWATA) have announced a rate hike, effective from April 15.
From that date, a rate of US$300 per TEU will be applied in order to "provide the service necessary to meet the needs of their customers", a statement said.
Ocean liners engaged in AWATA are CMA CGM, China Shipping Container Lines, Delmas, Gold Star Line, PIL and MOL.
