Maersk Line upgrades MECL2 service

Maersk Line is pleased to announce an upgrade of the direct service between the Middle East, Mediterranean, and US East Coast (MECL2).
In March 2008, we will change the rotation on the US East Coast and add a vessel to the MECL2 service. This will result in improved transit times to Newark from the South Indian market as well as a number of Mediterranean ports. The upgraded service will also provide our customers with increased schedule integrity and thereby offer improved reliability.
With these service changes, we wish to show a continued commitment to offering our customers a reliable and fast product with the level of efficiency and cost effectiveness required in this trade.
The future port rotation will be as follows: Colombo (Sri Lanka), Salalah (Oman), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Port Said (Egypt), Algeciras (Spain), Newark (US), Norfolk (US), Savannah (US), Algeciras (Spain), Gioia Tauro (Italy), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Salalah (Oman), and Chennai (India).
