''K'' Line boost Asia-S America services
Japanese carriers Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha and Mitsui OSK Lines are launching a second loop to their jointly-operated Asia-Mexico/West Coast South America Service (New Andes) which is jointly operated with Mitsui OSK Lines.
The twice weekly service, it is claimed, will offer faster transit times between Asia and West Coast South America ports and provide high quality service to accommodate rapid growth of the trade volume.
The current Loop 1 covers Mexico and Chile market while the Loop 2 covers Mexico, Colombia and Peru. Loop 2 will also offer a direct call at Ningbo, China, to meet active seaborne trade from that area.
