NYK Logistics restructures in Europe from April 1

Effective April 1st, NYK’s Western European Logistics business will be split into two regional companies, trading as NYK Logistics North Continent and NYK Logistics South Europe, and part of NYK Group Europe, Logistics division.
This move highlights NYK’s growing presence in the continental European market as a €300 million logistics services provider.
Under the new structure, key management functions of NYK’s local companies will be centralised, enabling standardisation of customer contracts and easier sharing of best practice ideas on a regional basis.
Headed by chief executive officer Piet Boogaard, NYK Logistics North Continent will include NYK Logistics (Belgium), NYK Logistics (Deutschland), NYK Logistics (Edam), NYK Logistics (Nederland) and the NYK Logistics (Mondia) group of companies.
Headed by chief executive officer Giuseppe Fontana, NYK Logistics South Europe will include NYK Logistics (Italy), NYK logistics (Iberica), NYK Logistics (France) and NYK Logistics (Lorang).
