Gazprom Neft acquires assets in the port of Primorsk (Leningrad region)

Gazprom Neft has acquired a number of assets in the port of Primorsk of the Leningrad region, Interfax quotes a source in the Leningrad region Government according to Gudok.Ru. According to the source, the above assets include 7-8 companies owing te third berth in the port of Primorsk including Primorsk Commercial Seaport LLC, Petrotrans Primorsk, Transflot and Commercial Seaport of Primorsk OJSC. The source has not revealed the size of shares purchased by Gazprom Neft in the above companies.

Gazprom Neft does not comment on this information.

Spetsmornefteport “Primorsk” LLC (Leningrad Region, subsidiary of Transneft company) was put into operation on December 27, 2001 as the final stage of the first phase of Baltic Pipeline System (BPS) aimed at oil transportation from Timano-Pechersk field as well as from West-Siberian and Ural oil-and-gas provinces. PBS’s annual capacity as of the date of commissioning was 12 million tonnes. In 2003 PBS’s capacity was increased to 30 million tonnes of oil per year. Today its capacity is 65 million tonnes.
