The flow of Byelorussian potassium salt to Ventspils has been stopped due to a dispute between Balaruskaly and Kalija parks terminal, Dienas bizness reports according to Tatar-Inform. Thus Ventspils loses 15% of its throughput. This will also effect Latvian railway and other transit companies. However Kalijs parks management hopes on signing of an agreement with the Byelorussian side. Balaruskaly is on of the largest manufacturers of potassium salt. The company used to export its prodct via the ports of Ventspils and Klaipeda.
