In January-February, 2008, total throughput of Petrolesport (PLP OJSC) exceeded 1.04 million tonnes (+15.9%, year-on-year). In the reported period, the company handled 611,500 tonnes of containerized cargo (+32%), 206,400 tonnes of timber (-7.7%), 74,900 tonnes of scrap metal (-19.9%), 42,400 tonnes of refrigerated cargo (+161.7%). Throughput of PLP specialized container terminal grew by 17.4% to 64,900 TEU.
In February 2008, throughput of Petrolesport OJSC totaled 580,800 tonnes (+31%), that of the container terminal amounted to 35,500 TEU (+24.5%, year-on-year).

Petrolesport container terminal operates from 1994. As of today, its annual capacity is 650,000 TEU. From 2004, average annual growth of the company’s container throughput makes 51%. In 2007, the company handled368,000 TEU.
