Gazprom Neft BOD Chairman Aleksandr Dyukov has confirmed acquisition of a number of assets in the port of Primorsk (Leningrad region), Interfax reports according to Gudok.ru.
“We have really acquired assets in the port of Primorsk and we are to continue the development,” Mr. Dyukov told journalists in St. Petersburg, Saturday having noted that acquisition of companies in the port of Primorsk will enable Gazprom Neft to develop its bunkering business as one of the company’s strategic priorities.
According to Mr. Dyukov, the transaction was closed in January. However, he didn’t reveal all the companies acquired by Gazprom Neft, though having named Transflot as one of them.
Mr. Dyukov also told it is too early to say if the company plans to sell the above assets. Earlier, a source in the Leningrad region Government told Interfax that Gazprom Neft acquired 7-8 companies owing the third berth in the portPrimorsk including Primorsk Commercial Seaport LLC, Petrotrans Primorsk, Transflot and Commercial Seaport of Primorsk OJSC. of
According to SPARK database, as of the beginning of 2008, 100% of Primorsk Commercial Seaport LLC was held by OMIRIKO LIMITED LLC (Cyprus), Petrotrans Primorsk was owned by MASPY INVESTMENTS Ltd (Cyprus), Transflot – by RF citizens.
