First Deputy PM Sergei Ivanov says it is necessary to build new ports at the Pacific Ocean and in Murmansk, RIA Novosti reports. According to Ivanov, it is there that Russia has a direct access to the World Ocean. Ivanov also said new ports should be also built at the Baltic Sea as well. However physical limits are likely to appear at straights linking this sea with the Atlantic Ocean. According to Ivanov, Russia continues to loose billions of dollars without the benefit of its transit transport potential.
