Shandong's Port of Longkou to add 10 million tonnes capacity
Port of Longkou, which is situated in northeastern China's Shandong province, is to have six new deep-water berths in operation this year with an additional capacity of 10 million tonnes, Xinhua reported.
Two 20,000-tonne multi-use berths will be completed by the end of April. Two 50,000-tonne berths will commence operation in September. Another 50,000-tonne liquid bulk berth and a 100,000-tonne multi-use berth will also come into use by the end of this year.
