Fesco China service adds Qingdao to port rotation

Russian carrier Fesco's China Direct Line North service (FCDL) has added port of Qingdao to its rotation, Xinhua reported.
FCDL offers bi-weekly service. The Fesco Voyager, which has a capacity of 1,100 TEU has recently made the first voyage on the revamped line.
The service's previous port rotation was Vostochy, Vladivostok, Shanghai, Tianjin, Vostochny, Vladivostok.
Russian Information Agency's report said adding Qingdao as a port stop in FCDL can cut down transport time from China to Russia and reduce cost of transshipping from Shanghai, helping to facilitate trade.
Port of Qingdao handled 9.46 million TEU last year. Its box volume is expected to exceed 10 million TEU by the end of this year.
