Daewoo Shipbuilding may increase its prices this year
Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, the worlds third-largest shipyard, may increase prices this year to pass on higher steel-plate costs to customers.
The increase will be a small one, Chief Executive Officer Nam Sang-tae told reporters at a shareholders meeting yesterday in Seoul.
Steelmakers including Posco plan to charge more for products as they will probably have to pay as much as 71 percent more for iron ore.
