Hanjin Shipping revamps its China-Australia service

Hanjin Shipping has dropped Hong Kong as a port of call in its revamped China-Australia service. Ningbo replaces Hong Kong, which Hanjin said in a statement would “broaden the gateway between North China and Australia” while also shaving one day off the transit time.
The launch of its CKA (China-Korea-Australia) service replaces the current NCA (North Asia-China-Australia) in early May and will be jointly operated by Hanjin, Sinotrans, STX Pan Ocean and Heung-A Shipping.
Five 1,200 TEU vessels will be deployed, with Hanjin supplying two and the rest one each. The slot for Hanjin will be increased to cover growing volumes in the Australian market.
The port rotation of the CKA (China-Korea Australia) Service is: Busan - Shanghai - Ningbo - Kaohsiung - Melbourne - Brisbane –Sydney
