"Gazprom" intends to increase gas extraction 18 – 22% by 2020

"Gazprom", the largest gas company in the world, intends to extract 650-670 billion cubic meters of gas by 2020. They will increase the gas extraction in successive steps: 570 billion cubic meters in 2010, 610-615 billion cubic meters by 2015. It was told at the board meeting, IA Finmarket informs.

In 2007 the extraction of gas came to 548.6 billion cubic meters. Thus, "Gazprom" intends to increase gas extraction 18 - 22% by 2020. In 2008 - 2010 the volume of extracted gas is expected to increase due to the development of new deposits in Nadym-Pur-Tazovskiy district, in 2011 the Bovanenkovo deposit (Yamal) will be put into operation, in 2013 the Shtockmanovo deposit, new deposits will also be developed in the water areas of Gulf of Ob and Tazovskiy, in the Eastern Siberia and in the Far East.

The company believes that 50% of the total amount of gas extracted by "Gazprom" will come from the new deposits.
