Throughput of Iljichevsk Commercial Seaport up 25% to 6.36 million tonnes in Jan-Apr, 08

In January-April, 2008, Commercial Seaport  of Iljichevsk  increased its throughput by 25%, year-on-year, to 6.36 million tonnes, the port informs. The highest growth was demonstrated in the sector of general cargo – 3.855 million tonnes (+46%, year-on-year) including 213,372 TEU of containerized cargo (+59%), 1.377 million tonnes of metal (+54%). Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 3%, year-on-year, to 1.957 million tonnes, liquid bulk cargo – down by 1%, year-on-year, to 548,000 tonnes.
