The company posted a pretax profit of about 14.72 million pounds for the year to end-February compared with 10.01 million pounds in the previous year. Revenue rose to 100.96 million pounds from 73.83 million pounds.
Braemar Shipping declared a final dividend of 15.00 pence per share, up 22 percent, taking the full-year payout to 23 pence per share from 19 pence per share.
'Market conditions remain favourable for our businesses and the financial year has begun well, so far with no adverse effect from the global credit squeeze. Freight rates and vessel values are both firm and there is strong demand for our services, all of which bodes well for the new year,' said chairman Sir Graham Hearne.
