Although the Arbitrary Court left Kronshtadt shipyard for the MoD after several attempts of making the enterprise bankrupt, the MoD does not want to let this asset enter the United Shipbuilding Corporation. According to the expert of the group ACT Michael Barabanov this may be the indication of the plans of MoD to run own shipbuilding, parallel to USC. «The militaries consider the experience of working with the independent (not belonging to the MoD) plants negative and try to keep at least a part of the ship repair enterprises», he says. At the same time the head of USC Yuri Yarov announced that a special meeting of the governmental will determine the fate of the shipyard in the near future, most likely before the end of May.
