Loading at Oktyabrskaya Railway up 5.7% to 36.9 million tonnes in Jan-Apr, 08

In January-April, 2008, Oktyabrskaya Railway (OZD, branch of Russian Railways) loaded over 36.9 million tonnes of cargo (+2 million tonnes, or +5.7%, year-on-year), the company informs. In the reported period, it loaded over 7 million tonnes of iron ore (+8.7%, year-on-year), over 4.6 million tonnes of fertilizers (+3.4%, year-on-year), over 401,200 tonnes of ferrous metal (+17.4%, year-on-year). Loading of cement exceeded 509,500 tonnes (112.1% against plan), almost 3 million tonnes of timber (109.7 % against plan), 231,400 tonnes of paper (118.6% against plan), 5 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (102.2% against plan), 61,500 tonnes of grain (198% against plan).
