Russia's Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov suggested devising an economic cooperation program with Moldova until 2020 during a meeting with the republic's President Vladimir Voronin in Chisinau on Monday, the press office of Moldova's leader told RBC. Mironov pointed out that Russia and Moldova had already established effective bilateral trade and economic relations, however adding that it could still be expanded, particularly on the regional level. He said that Russian businesses were ready to raise investments in Moldova's economy. To promote cooperation, more attractive conditions for investors are required, Mironov noted. He also proposed to find a reasonable way to resolve the conflict around Transnistria, the disputed region in Moldova.
