Azerbaijan's state-owned oil company GNKAR said on Tuesday it had completed building an oil pipeline along the bottom of the Caspian Sea for a major Russian crude producer, RIA Novosti reports.
The company laid a 58-kilometer (36-mile) long pipeline to the Yury Korchagin oil and gas field, located in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.
The deposit, which is being developed by Russia's LUKoil oil company, is expected to produce 10 billion cubic meters of gas and 4 million metric tons (80,000 bbl/d) of oil annually.
