Backlog of orders of Baltiysky Zavod makes RUR 10 billion till 2010

Backlog of orders of Baltiysky Zavod OJSC makes RUR 10 billion till 2010, PortNews IAA learnt from Aleksandr Chistov, the company’s Director General. According to him, the company has concluded contracts for production and delivery of shipbuilding goods for RUR 5 billion and machine-building goods for the same value. “We provide components for Admiralty Shipyards and Severnaya Verf including screw-and-steering equipment and accessories,” Chistov said. Besides, the company has orders from RosOboronExport. According to Chistov, the key perspective of the company is production for nuclear industry. This type of orders comes from RosEnergoAtom, Beloyarsk, Rostov and other Russian NPP as well as Indian and Chinese NPP.

Baltiysky Zavod also has a number of large contracts for production of heat-exchange equipment for vessel and fixed power engineering (for Beloyarsk NPP, Murmansk Shipping Company  as well as for the world’s first floating NPP).

Baltiysky Zavod JSC is one of the leading enterprises in the Russian shipbuilding industry (member of United Industrial Corporation). Currently the Baltiysky Zavod shipyard specializes in construction of icebreakers and ice-classed vessels (with nuclear-powered propulsion, as well as conventionally powered), large commercial vessels for carrying various types of cargo, and naval ships.
