The new facility covers a site measuring 223,039 square metres, including 125,663 square metres dedicated to warehousing space divided over six buildings. The location enjoys good transportation links with Nanjing, Hangzhou, Ningbo via Hangzhou Bay Bridge, Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Port of Yangshan.
The Shanghai-Fengxian Logistics Centre acts as a regional and central distribution centre for customers engaged in the retail, automotive, home appliances high tech products industries, and also 3PL. It will also serve at a later stage as a bonded warehouse for imports, according to Sinotrans Logistics.
The new logistics centre that is being developed by the logistics division of Sinotrans Limited is expected to bring high level of services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and Fortune 500 companies that are also growing.
Sinotrans Logistics operates other regional distribution centres in Beijing, Chengdu, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Shenyang and Roncheng (Shandong).
